SV Trip 2026

Student Council in Düsseldorf

Politics, culture, fun, and heat. This year’s student council trip was particularly sweaty, yet once again enjoyable and rewarding. For the second time since our first trip in 2019, our destination was the state capital, Düsseldorf. As always, we stayed at the local youth hostel, which allowed us to take advantage of its central location on the Rhine once again. And even though the weather was hot, it still gave us the chance to wind down both evenings by the Rhine with pizza, burgers, and World Cup soccer.

Of course, we also worked hard again. At the youth hostel, we came up with some exciting projects for the next school year and made plans for them, such as the upcoming Siemens Challenge and the Culinary Market at the end of the school year.

This year, we were also particularly active on the political front. For example, we visited the state parliament and, thanks largely to the organizational skills of Timo (von) Dinkelborg, were given a guided tour followed by a Q&A session with State Representative Nina Andrieshen.

All in all, we can once again look back on a successful and wonderful student council trip. We’ve grown closer as a team and were able to plan quite a few things. We’re looking forward to helping shape the school for you next year as well and carrying out some great projects.
