Learning to learn, self-management, first own apartment and much more

Project days at the WvSG

There were over 50 information events and workshops for our pupils this year. Both teachers and external speakers were active on site and at extracurricular learning locations. We are only able to offer this wide range of events thanks to the financial support of several partner organizations. We would like to thank

  • The Westmünsterland Savings Banks Foundation
  • The town of Gronau
  • The Friends of the Werner-von-Siemens-Gymnasium

Here are some impressions from the different year groups.

Lower school - learning to learn, class community days, theater against bullying, teamwork projects

Middle school - self-management, addiction prevention days, school without racism

Upper school - Preparation of the technical paper, Fit for life after school

The project days for year 2 were held under the motto "Fit for life after school!" .
In addition to classic questions about study and career guidance, such as "Apprenticeship or university?" and "How do I get a place at university?", other questions that may arise after school were also addressed.
For example: "Should I sign the tenancy agreement for my shared flat?" or "How can I relax before important exams at university or during my apprenticeship?" "If I need a change from eating in the canteen, what do I cook?" "What contracts do I need?" Many students may ask themselves these questions after school. Numerous experts from various institutions, such as the consumer advice center, tax office, student advisory service, employment agency and family education center were on hand to answer the students' questions.
