A journey into the unknown - that was the credo of the welcoming service for the new fifth formers, organized by Ms Tapken and students from Q1.

Parents and pupils were greeted with warm words and a suitcase was packed for the journey through the coming school years at our school. Such a suitcase includes, for example, a flashlight to light the way and a first aid kit to mend minor wounds and mistakes.
At the end, the upper school students handed out a compass to the new fifth graders to help them find their own way.
Finally, in the auditorium, the principal Mr. Herden and trial level coordinator Ms. Hense welcomed the students and a group of sixth graders, supported by Ms. Walter and Ms. Fischer, sang a song about the importance of classmates.
This kick-off was followed by two more eventful days of getting to know each other at school, so that all fifth-graders can now start the coming week with confidence.
