Mr. Geukes, who is moving from Selm to Gronau to attend the WvSG, is no stranger to the Münsterland and Gronau. He grew up in Legden and graduated from Canisiusschule in Ahaus in 2003. He moved to Bielefeld University in East Westphalia to study mathematics and sport before moving to Münster for his traineeship at Selm Municipal Grammar School. Even after his traineeship, he remained loyal to the grammar school in Selm until his current move to Gronau. In addition to teaching, his work in Selm focused in particular on the digitalization of schools and administrative work such as timetabling and digital class register management.
The move to Gronau and closer to home now fits in well with Mr. Geukes' current living circumstances, as he has lived in Ahaus with his wife and three children since 2018. He particularly appreciates the peace and quiet and proximity to nature in Westmünsterland, which is also reflected in his leisure activities.
He is now looking forward to the start of the school year and getting to know the pupils and everyone involved in the school.
